My interest lies in contemporary documentation, using traditional photography to explore bygone eras that continue to exist in the observer’s eye. I am curious about aspects of American culture and landscape that may be fading away.

The complexity of modern American life often obscures our appreciation for our origins. There is beauty to be found in the simplest acts of daily life, whether they are real or imagined. This beauty, whether residing in our memory or collected from the stories and images of others, serves as a comforting fundamental.

Documents that articulate change in American culture through visual and oral expression are both important and necessary. These mediums, particularly images, possess a unique power to capture and convey the essence of a moment or cultural shift. America’s rich agrarian and social history, along with the immense value of its people who have sustained its existence for generations, offers a vast palette for exploration through these mediums.
